Following the lead singer’s adieu, each member of the band acknowledged the crowd with a wave and exited the stage.
The arena’s cheers echoed all the way to the dressing room, where a new set of raucous chords ignited: clanging bottles, giggling roadies, snorts, coughs, and a constant push to the party’s tempo until the room was dry; then, everyone boarded the tour bus to continue.
Eventually, the rockstars emerged from the bus like a pack of zombies—greeted by another swath of adoring fans—and took their positions.
